Posted by HowardWimshurst - September 17th, 2014

Here's an update. All 4 episodes of CWF are now up for viewing, and i've recorded material for more episodes. The editing is the thing that takes the longest, but I'm keeping to my weekly schedule with videos up every Thursday(I've decided Thursday is a good day to upload).

If youy haven't already you can SUBSCRIE here or you can check out the CHANNEL here. I've got some good videos planned.

Hi again. 84 subscribers and counting! This is great. Lets see if we can get to 100 this month. If you haven't already, SUBSCRIBE HERE

Today, I uploaded the first of a mini collaboration with FrancisYFL. It's basically just us chatting unscripted about animator stuff whilst I animate an action scene. It's pretty chill.

I hope you enjoy it. Also if you would like to see other stuff i've been making you can take a look at my TUMBLR

Apart from that, i've been working on some freelance projects this week.

Oh and I released a new music track preview. Not many people have heard it.

So we've passed 50 subs! And I have released two new videos recently that you should check out.

I've got some good videos in-store for you. So if you haven't already, I would invite you to

Here's an update!

I'm steadily releasing more videos, trying to upload at least one per week without it eating too much of my animation work-time. I've got a bunch of them made which should last me a while. 25 Subs so far. Lets see if we can make it to 50 this month!

Edit: here is my latest video

My latest vid below. Just something simple, with more complex things coming in later videos.

A previous vid (I mainly did this because I thought it might attract new followers later on) For any students wanting to get started in 3D animation.

I'm also dipping my toe into concept art/ illustration these days. Here's a recent video:

Oh and I also uploaded Demonfight to the channel not too long ago. (Caution: Loud noises)

Well If you've made it this far down the post, you must be at least slightly interested in what I've been getting up to. Here's a link to subscribe, so new videos appear automatically in your subscriptions box.

My plans are to create more laid back timelapse animation sessions and some concept art and to move away from tutorials as I don't consider myself fit to b a teacher with so little experience. I've also got video series planned all to do with SteamPunk, which I'm calling "Steampunk Studies". Keep a look out for that. It's going to be fun.

In other news, I've created a new music track. It was very impulsive. I made it up and recorded it in under half an hour. But then editing and adding in harmonies took a few days. My cousin was in a bad climbing accident and is in a coma. I'm thinking about him a lot and this song is for him.

That's all the news I have for now. Have a ncie day!

Hey it's me again. So you know how I mentioned last time that I was making youtube videos? I've just released the first one so here it is. It's mostly aimed for other artists and animators. I know I didn't do a great job at the commentary but I am getting much better. I plan to upload a new video every week, so subscribe if you want! I know i'm calling it a speedpaint but it's actually not. The art wasn't done under time, it's just a timelapse. Sorry!

And this is the end result

That's all for now folks!

Hi there, how are you?

I've got quite a lot of updates since the last time we spoke. Where do I begin...

The Project Epsilon Kickstarter is still open for another 5 days. It's pretty clear that we are not going to make it to the funng goal. Now i'm on a mad scramble for freelance work.

As an extra thing, I have set up a commissions page on my website. It makes the steps to hiring my services very easy. Some of the commissions I offer include (but are not limited to)

  • GIF animations
  • Animating (for flash games, music videos, explainer videos etc.)
  • Portrait illustrating
  • logo and graphic design
  • concept sketches/ paintings
  • watercolour paintings
  • custom soundFX

I am also building up a backlog of videos to be released on my Youtube Channel. As well as animations, I am am making timelapse videos with music and commentary and group discussions. The first episode is ready for uploadng and I'm quite pleased with how they are turning out so far. The only catch is that I have to listen to my own voice for hours when editing the commentary and it is a horrible experience. Since I have just joined the Frederator network, I figured now is a good time to start producing videos on a regular basis. By the way, if you are a music producer and would like some free promotion, I am looking for music to play in the background of my videos (as well as my own music). Some artists have been very kind and allowed me to feature their music and to them I am extremely greatful.

I also have my Goliath animation close to completion with just a few scenes to finish off. Goliath is my flagship project and it's probably the best animation I have made so far.

I guess this failed Kickstarter was a blessing in disguise because I have not been given the easy/ comfortable route. It also taught me a valuable lesson. For a Kickstarter project to work, you have got to have a large and dedicated following. There's no way around it.

Speaking of following, I'm now on Twitter and Facebook and of course, Tumblr for if you want updates.

From now on, I'm holding nothing back! Expect awesome animations, writing, concept art and timelapse videos from me shortly!

It's finaly here! StudioPG has been working really hard to get our Kickstarter up and running. Please help us out by going to the page and seeing what we have to offer! We only have 30 days to get to this goal. Sharing this page would also really help us out.

Hi guys,

I have been making regular development posts on my main blog for a while now, and it's growing steadily! Thank you to all of the people that have found out about me and decided to follow. It means a lot to me and I count each new follower as a personal victory.

Long story short, I created a separate blog which regularly features my artistic inspirations. This is so that I can keep my main blog for purely my own content to avoid confusion. I am guilty of spending a lot of time surfing the webs for awesome animators and artists. As a result, I have acumulated masses of mind blowing animations and art pieces that I can't wait to share with the community.

Other than that, if you're remotely interested in what I make you should know that this July is going to be one crazy month for my carreer.

  • I'm releasing 2 new animations to newgrounds which I have worked very hard on.
  • I'm launching a Kickstarter campaign with StudioPG to fund the production of 5 new animations
  • I'm expanding my online profile to include Deviantart, LinkedIn and Wooshii. Oh, and Vimeo and youtube.
  • I have submitted animations to 4 different international film festivals. I've got no idea if I will get into any of them but it's worth a try.
  • I have finally raised enough funds to buy a better version tablet (Wacom Cintiq 12wx)
  • I am also planning a new music project to help fund the making of more acoustic music tracks.

I'll leave you with this new ink/ painting that I did for practice. It's my first one and I'm hoping to improve at it over time.

Stay tuned!
