You're good at this classic anime writing/ animating. I like this series because it takes the best parts of anime -like the quirky jokes that make me laugh and the cool fight scene ending- but leaves the bad anime themes which they are nutoriously known for like the monologue "flashback" episodes which drag out and try to squeeze some pointless emotion from you, instead it had this consistent cool fun vibe. The way you outline the characters with a thicker line gives them quite a unique comic book style (Ive been wondering how you do that). Both VAs took extremely well to their characters so good job VAs.
Also considering it's just you working on this the backgrounds look great.
Great music tracks throughout. Every time it changed track it was kind of... refreshing? Nice.
I also liked the design for the engineer. It was pretty cool how neither of them spoke, they just got down to buisness.
Two small things that might help you for the next episode-
The piece of art at the end is super nice, but it doesnt do it justice to have it stretched out of proportion. If it where me, I would have just put boarders down the sides and have the credits run through the middle or something. I dont know, it's just a little thing.
Also, your smoke/explosion effects start off really well and are well structured and convincing, but in my experience the dust particles take a long time to settle, maybe try to lengthen the end part of the explosion out with either inbetween frames, shape tween(careful it doesnt glitch) or motion tween. Some camera shake could increase the impact further.
Put this on youtube I can see it getting very popular, no joke!
I wrote this long ass review because I really like the show and look up to you as a fellow animator and wanted to show my appreciation =D

Very impressive! Everything was executed perfectly. I hope that this gets attention.
Really nice animation/ story/ writing. Also the colours and textures in the backgrounds stood out as being excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it.

Kreid responds:

Thanks, really enjoyed making the backgrounds nicer now that I'm not just limited to Flash

This was awesome! You captured everything beautifully. The lighting and colours where fantastic and true to life. The movement of the cat and the bird where wonderfully observed and it shows. I also really like the way that the colours used for the figures changes as the day goes on which really emphasises the effect that the environment has on them. And that the brush strokes are very varied depending on the texture of what you are drawing like the waves at the end had very rough brushstrokes making them seem turbulent whereas the cat was animated using smooth brush strokes showing the dampened fur. The storyline was simple but beautiful. I also like how the shaky camera view above water on the boat and tree drastically changes into smooth movements below water.
Aw man I got shivers down my spine. You animate in a unique rough and natural way which I think needs to be recognised. You should make this your career if you haven't yet. Theres no doubt. WOW.

gzilbalodis responds:

Thanks man, great words! I will make it a career someday, I'm still in school.

Dam thats well animated. Good Job.

TravelSizedLions responds:

Thanks. Your stuff's awesome, too.

I expected better

half of the animation had no sound at all. This made everything less dynamic.
you really need to work on your walk cycles. They're embarrassing.
I know it's your style but why draw all of the characters with massive over sized pupils. Is it to make them look cute? I think it is quite a childish look.
the story was fairly hard to understand as there as no dialogue.
the animation was consistent and slow moving and quite basic. You should change the rotation of the can falling so that there is no ease on the motion tween. The background was basic but well lighted.
I expected better from someone who reviews animations with such high standards.
Hope this review helped you and have a nice day:PP
P.S. It's ok to use linear and radial gradient in moderation

MihaP responds:

Thanks for the review. Btw there is sound trough all animation:P. Childish look LOL. People like to see unrealistic characters it makes stuff more interesting. But anyways thanks for review and have a nice day:PP
